A SIZZLING SUMMER IS ON IT'S WAY!!

Hi Beach-Goers...

I have returned from my adventures, a married man and with thousands of photos and memories to share... I have also come home to a very hot and smokey Camden, all signs that SUMMER is nearly here, and, there is every indication that this one is going to be a scorcher!! So rather than just sitting at home in your stuffy house complaining about the heat, OR running up that electricity bill while you sit under your air-con on these hot summer nights, come down to Camden Beach Sports @ Camden Sports Club "Sporties" and tackle the summer heat head on. Everyone knows that a Beer tastes sooo... good when you've worked up a sweat and really earnt it.

Competition will begin on Monday 18th November... With 5 weeks of the comp played before Christmas (final week being 16th-19th Dec), and the remainder of comp played out in the new year (recommencing on 20th Jan). Games begin no earlier than 6pm, with 40-45 minute time-slots, depending on numbers of teams in the sport you are playing. Places for teams in each competition are limited so register quickly or you may miss out... Comps are ALL AGE, so teenage kids are able to play as long as they are strong enough to compete against adults.

Sports this season include:
MONDAY - Beach Soccer (Men's & Mixed)
TUESDAY - Beach Volleyball (Mixed 4up & Open 2up)
WEDNESDAY - Beach Touch Footy (Mixed & Men's)
THURSDAY - Beach Netball (Mixed & Ladies)
THURSDAY - Beach Tennis (Open, 3 player teams)

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!

Tonight marks the beginning of the Spring Season of Beach Sports @ Camden Sports Club. We are now in our 7th year of operations and numbers are staying strong thanks to the support of our regular Beach-goers. Again we would like to thank everyone who participates for their dedication to Camden Beach Sports over the years and for playing with the idea of a friendly, social competition in mind.
We pride ourselves on being a place for people to MEET FRIENDS, HAVE FUN & KEEP FIT!!

As most of you know, I am of to Hawaii to tie the knot... I fly out tomorrow night in fact. Beach Sports will be coordinated by the very capable Phoebe Kite in my absence, so if there are any issues or you need to know what is happening you can call her on 0421 399 893.

SAND FACILITY AVAILABLE FOR TRAINING!!

Are you grounds continuously being closed on training nights??

Are you struggling to get numbers at training due to lack of interest??

Are you looking for an alternative training option for your team??

With our sports competitions wrapped up for the Winter, it's a perfect opportunity for your Soccer, Footy or Netball team to come down to Camden Sports Club for a training session on the Sand!!

The BEACH is the perfect place for cross training, as well as offering a lower impact option for teams recovering after a big weekend match.

For just $60/hr the whole field is yours to run drills, work on fitness or simply have a friendly game of sport on the Sand. Our facility comprises of a 40x40m square Sandpit, with strap lines and soccer goals installed for your convenience. We are also happy for you to use whatever equipment you need (markers, balls, netball posts, bibs, etc.). Junior teams can hire just half the Beach for $40/hr.

Also, for those who are involved in the committee of your local sporting club, we can offer further discounts if your club is willing to promote our business on their websites or at their venue.

AUTUMN SEASON ALMOST READY TO ROLL!!

After a very busy Summer in 12/13, Camden Beach Sports is getting ready for the final season of the Beach Sports year before the Winter break. With excellent numbers across all sports last season, we are looking forward to another busy season, with many teams taking the option to roll over their registration for just $25 before the end of the previous competition.
Competition over the past 4 months has been extremely tight, and the Summer Finals have been some of our closest finals to date... CONGRATULATIONS to all of our Summer Season Winner's so far:

Mixed Beach Soccer - Six-on-tha-Beach defeated Raging Bullets (defending their Spring Title)

2up Beach Volleyball - The Clams defeated Northern Exposure (who were the defending Champions)

Div. 1 Beach Volleyball - Quick Flops defeated Top Guns (defending their Spring Title)

Div. 2 Beach Volleyball - Toon Squad defeated The Chiefs

Mixed Beach Touch Footy - Touchy Feely defeated Tries 'R' Us (defending their Spring Title)

Men's Beach Touch Footy - Dixie Normas defeated Beached Az! (defending their Spring Title)

Beach Netball Semi's and Finals were washed out this week, and will be played this Thurday!!

Autumn Season does officially begin this week, however there are still a number of spaces to fill across all sports, so if you have been a little slow in entering your team for the current comp, call me ASAP to see if we can still fit you into the draw.

Thanks again to everyone who has supported Camden Beach Sports over the past 6 years!! It will be our 6th Birthday in May this year, hopefully we can organise a bit of a Birthday Bash on the Beach... But without the support of all of our young (and not so young) local sporting enthusiasts, we wouldn't be able to run such a unique, fun and friendly sporting organisation, so THANK-YOU!!
